Polly Peach Grammer has been teaching day camp and clinics for over 50 years. Her first camps were held in the infield of the race track at Maryland Farms. Her vast knowledge of horses, and teaching degree from Peabody College, being a mother of 4 and grandmother of 8 give her plenty of experience to be a camp director. She has been certified by DGWS (Division Girls Women's Sports), HSA (Horsemanship Safety Association) and CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association). The experienced staff is hand picked to ensure your child has fun and individual attention to keep them safe on and around the horses.

Peachtree Farms offers camps during the spring, summer and Christmas holidays. Our camps are designed to improve all aspects of horsemanship for riders of all ages.

Sportsmanlike conduct and a spirit of cooperation, patience and kindness are encourage to become a partner with their mount Some camps are specialized while others cater to every child's dream of owning a horse.

Day Camps are scheduled Monday through Friday each week of the summer, during spring breaks and at Christmas. Riders bring a sack lunch and enjoy the feeling of owning their own horse for a week. Half Day Camps are available for the younger ones 4 and up.

Spring Break Camp(s) 2012:
We will have several regular camps scheduled this year.
New this year! For children ages 4-8 years old we are having an afternoon session some weeks (Please call for times and dates)

Summer Camps 2012:
Beginning June 4, 2012. Camps are scheduled weekly through the months of June & July as well as the first week in August.

Christmas Camp 2012:

Instruction is offered in

  • How to care for your own horse
  • Training and Showing

We invite your child to share the magic of a horse/pony of their own. School horses/ponies are carefully chosen for their quiet temperament, good manners and their special training to help students learn the fundaments of riding whether it is a beginner or a more advanced student.

Campers:
  1. Must wear long pants
  2. Have a secure boot or appropriate shoe. No hiking boots
  3. Must wear T- Shirts or polo type shirts. No tank tops, to protect you from sun and insects. You are encouraged to bring your own helmet if you have one, no bike helmets allowed. We have helmets if you need to borrow one
  4. Lunch packed in a cooler, water bottle with name on it
  5. Sun screen
  6. Girls need to have your hair platted or in a low pony tail, no jewelry.
